KOTTPA pulling series Information

4300# MINI TRUCK 2WD RULES

1. Factory sheet metal,  fiberglass hoods are allowed.

2. Factory firewall only to remain in factory location: driver & steering wheel to remain on left      side of driver’s compartment.  

3. Must use factory compact truck rails, may reinforce from front to back; cannot add to rear of frame length. 

4. Must be compact style truck; S10, Ford Ranger, D50, Jeep Comanche etc, no full size. Any kind of motor to any kind of body. 

5. Wheelbase must not exceed 109 1/4 ” from center of rear axle to center of front axle. 

6. Front windshield mandatory, (can use glass or lexan); all other glass optional. 

7. Beds must be covered if cut out; tailgates are optional. 

8. Maximum truck length will be  153” from the center of the rear end to the forward most point of the truck, including weights. Maximum distance from center of the rear end to  the absolute back of the truck, including sled stops, etc is 52”. (A tow hook will be permitted and will not be considered in any measurement.)

9. Weights may extend no more  than 12” from rear of factory frame, they may be mounted on sled stops. 10. Weights must remain stationary while truck is in motion.

10. Up to one-ton rear end maximum. No Rockwells allowed.

11. Up to one ton six speed  transmission with all working gears. No cut gears, may run automatic and  stall converter. No auxiliary transmissions allowed.

12. Maximum rear tire size will  be 33x12.50x15 DOT approved on a maximum 10” wide wheel, which will be      measured inside bead to inside bead. Beadlock will not be considered part of the measurement.

13.  406 Cu. In. small block maximum with 0.50% tolerance (the 351 Cleveland will not be allowed in this class). May run aftermarket cast iron blocks but no raised cam blocks.

14. 2- or 4-barrel intakes, cast or aluminum; may run after market, intake may not exceed 7” tall, that is from the base of carburetor to the top of the block. 

15. May run any camshaft

16. Cast heads only, may port and polish, may run after market, no 18* or lower head, no aluminum heads. Under protest, determination will be made by actual measurement using a measurement tool.

17. May run any distributor which will fit into the original location, no mags. 

18. Up to one 4 barrel, naturally aspirated carburetor, 850 CFM maximum with factory number on choke housing. Choke housing must remain stock. Numbers may not be altered. All air must go thru ventura. Carburetor “No Go Tool” must not exceed below factory casting ring in non-modified ventura. Tool must not enter bottom base plate. All other alterations are acceptable. 

19. Exhaust headers may go up or back and down, no turnouts. 

20. Lifters must remain stock dia. For engine make. (No Mushroom Lifters). 

21. Can run Rev. Limiter cannot use ignition box that can alter timing when in motion. 

22. Must run race gas, (NO ALCOHOL-NO NITROUS) These types only; VP, Citgo, Torco, Sunoco, or Renegade, up to 116 

23. Hitch must be stationary in all directions: center of axle to point of hook 39 ¼” min.

24.  Maximum hitch height is 27” from ground to point of hook. 

25. No “L” shaped hitches. Hitch hole must be horizontal with ground.

26. Hitch may not exceed past front of bed; anchor pin should not be less than 7/8” dia. 

27. No part of hitch to exceed 36” tall. Top stop not part of hitch. 

28. Hitch adjusters for height must not exceed past factory frame. 

29. Steel flywheel and safety bell housing and block plate.
¼” shield 360 degrees: around the engine balancer: not less than 2: wide, except sfi approved balancer must have bar across front. 

30. Engine cooling fans shielded  360 degrees: electric fans may not be covered. 

31. Block shields must run the full length of engine and from top of frame to 1” above spark plugs.

32. All drive shafts must have 2 loops, 2pc shafts must have 4 loops. Minimum dimensions on loop material   are .125 for steel, .250 for aluminum and 1" wide.  No chains or cables to be used for loops.  U-joints must be covered on top and  both sides. Any driveshaft which has more than two universal joints is considered a two-piece shaft. 

33. No fuel tanks, fuel lines or batteries in driver’s compartment, batteries must be mounted in bed or      engine compartment. 

34. Must have neutral start  switch with light mounted in rear and in cab to show in neutral. 

35. Must have kill switch mounted in rear of truck to kill ignition and electric fuel pump.

36. No line brakes allowed.

37. Must have working fire extinguisher.

38. First place truck at each  event will have fuel checked. In addition, carburetor will be checked with “no go” tool.

39. Random fuel checks will also be conducted throughou the season, as determined by the tech officials. On the night chosen, up to 5 numbers will be drawn to determine which trucks will be checked that night.



5200# Pro Street 2WD Rules

1. One 4-barrel, naturally aspirated carburetor, 850 C.F.M. maximum with factory number on choke housing. Choke housing must remain stock. Only carburetor # allowed are Holley 4781 and 9380.  Numbers may not be altered. All air must go thru Ventura. Carburetor “No Go Tool” must not exceed below factory casting ring in non-modified Ventura. Tool must not enter bottom base plate. All other alterations are acceptable.

2. Carburetor can be used with cast iron or aluminum manifolds no tunnel ram types.  2-inch maximum spacer allowed.  May have hood scoop, but carburetor must remain below the original hood.  May run cowl hood fiberglass or metal.

3. A. Engine must be 470 cubic inches or smaller.  Can run cast aftermarket blocks. Stock cam location only.

B. OEM cast iron heads no raised runners, no titanium valves only modifications to the runners will be port and polish.  May run roller rockers and roller cams. 

4. Any battery-powered ignition may be used.

5. Headers or open exhaust are allowed; either below or above the hood.  No turn outs.

6. Body or bed alternations or customizing to gain class advantage is prohibited.  Bed must have floor or be covered by tarp.  Inner fender wells may be removed.

7. Front inner fender wells not required:  although, if removed, spark plug shields required.

8. Factory firewall and floorboard required. Floorboard may be altered to accommodate shift pole. Steering column must be within 3” of stock location.

9. 133-inch wheelbase maximum. (A tow hook will be permitted and will not be considered in any measurement.)

10. Frame must be no less than ½ ton and no more than 1 ton. Frame may be cut to maintain maximum wheelbase. Frame must be stock width per OEM specifications. Absolutely no narrowing of original frame allowed. No tube frames allowed. Brake caliper and brackets may be cut off. Rotors may be removed. No springs required. Radiator must be under hood in front of engine. One radiator per truck and must be in working order. Water holding tanks allowed but must be under hood in engine compartment. Straight axles are allowed but must meet 133” wheelbase maximum.

11. If original vehicle has doors and hood, they must remain in place.  Tilt front-ends are allowed.

12. Tailgates may be removed for safety of person hooking sled.  Bumpers are optional.  If you have front bumper it must be factory.

13. Gas tanks cannot be mounted in front of truck, or inside of cab.  No fuel pump or fuel lines inside of cab.  Battery may be anywhere on truck except inside of cab or in front of grill.

14. Street legal tires.  No barred or tere tires allowed.  No cut tires.  Wheel width limit:  12 inches rear, Up to 12.50 x 35 street tire limit, 10- or 12-inch rear wheel only. Beadlock is not considered as part of the measurement.

15. Stall converters allowed.

16. No weights out past front of grill: can be under hood in engine compartment.  No weights can be extended more than one-foot past rear most part of factory frame.

17. Hitch may not go any further forward than back of cab.  Hitch no less than 42 inches from center of rear axle to hook point.  No more than 36 inches from ground at any point.  Pressure point no more than 12 inches forward from hooking point.  Hitch must be stationary in all directions.  Top stop not part of hitch. Maximum hitch height (hooking point) is 30” before, during, and after pull.

18. Cool cans and electric fuel pumps and fans allowed.

19.  Race fuel only.  No alcohol, nitro methane, nitrous oxide or nitrous propane.  No oxidizers.  Only fuels permitted are Renegade, Citgo, VP, Sunoco, and Torco, up to 116 

20. No auxiliary box or transfer cases allowed.

21. No rear suspension or rear springs required.  No lateral bars past rear of cab at all.  May have boxed frame. No air bags allowed.

22. No rear ends larger than 1 ton 8 lug only.  No planetary, no transmission larger than 2-ton, 4 speed or 5 speed. No aftermarket transmissions or cut gears. Transmission must roll out per factory specs or can pull cap.

23. Double disc clutch permitted.  No centrifugal clutches allowed. 

24. Full size truck bodies only.

25. All general and safety rules apply to this class.

26. Must have blow proof bell housing.

27. Must have neutral light and kill switch that work.

28. Safety loops on drive shaft must cover U-joints.  Fire extinguisher required.

29. May run tractor tires on front, not on back.

30. 1st place truck at each event will have fuel checked at the carburetor and have top of carburetor checked with “no go” tool.

31. Random fuel checks will be conducted as determined by tech officials. On the night chosen, up to 5 numbers will be drawn to determine which trucks will be checked that night.



5500# Pro Stock 2WD Rules

1. One 4-barrel, naturally aspirated carburetor, 850 C.F.M. maximum with factory number on choke housing. Choke housing must remain stock. Only carburetor # allowed are  Holley 4781 and 9380.  Numbers may not be altered. All air must go  thru Ventura. Carburetor “No Go Tool” must not exceed below factory  casting ring in non-modified Ventura. Tool must not enter bottom base  plate. All other alterations are acceptable.

2. Carburetor can be used with  cast iron or aluminum manifolds. No tunnel ram types. Two-inch maximum  spacer allowed. No welded-on spacers allowed.  Air cleaner may exit  hood with adequate clearance. No cutting or stretching intakes and welding  back together. No sheet metal intakes. No tunnel ram type intakes. May port and polish and gasket match on intakes.

3. A. Engine must be no more than 485 cubic inches.

B.  Any cast iron blocks. Chevrolet must be no more than 4.840 bore spacing, and Ford must be no more than 4.900 bore spacing. DRCE blocks are allowed but must run no more than 4.840 bore spacing and must run Chevy conventional heads only. GM style block with GM style head. Ford style block with Ford style head. Dodge style block with Dodge style head. Any other internal modification may be made. May refer to part number for verification.

C. Aluminum or cast-iron heads. Ford can run up to an “A” head. Dodge may run BI heads. No HEMI heads. No homemade heads. No “C” heads. Ford can run up to an “A” head no lower than 11-degree valve angle. Dodge may run “B1” head no lower than 14-degree valve angle. No Hemi heads. GM heads no 18-degree valve angle or lower heads allowed.GM style heads port must measure 4.100 maximum port width and .415 maximum space between runners. Ford style heads port must measure 6.850 maximum port width and 2.950 maximum space between runners. The entire height of port excluding corners radius measurements are taken at intake manifold flange and can be smaller.

D. 1% tolerance on engine cubic inch measurements.

E. Block and heads must have company logo and part number on them. (Chevy, Ford, GM, Dodge, etc)

F. May run any make of cams, roller cams, cast iron cams, mushroom cams, billet cams, also roller lifters, roller rockers and any other lifter allowed.

4. Any battery powered ignition may be used.

5. Headers or open exhaust are  allowed.  Headers may exit through hood with adequate clearance or      down and back no turnouts.

6. Bed can be hulled, but not  narrowed, must be covered and must have stock appearance. Rear bedside can  be cut a maximum of 4” for tire clearance.

7. Factory firewall and floorboard required. Floorboard  may be altered to accommodate shift pole. Steering column must be within  3” of stock location.

8. Front inner fender wells not  required.

9. 133-inch wheelbase maximum.  If bed alterations are made must be from front of bed to front of rear      wheel well. (A tow hook will be permitted and will not be considered in  any measurement.)

10. Frame must be no less than ½   ton and no more than 1 ton. Frame may be cut to maintain maximum      wheelbase. Brake caliper and brackets may be cut off. Rotors may be removed. No springs required. Radiator must be under hood in front of  engine. One radiator per truck and must be in working order. Water holding  tanks allowed but must be under hood in engine compartment. Straight axles are allowed but must meet 133” wheelbase maximum.

11. If original vehicle has doors  and hood, they must remain in place. Tilt front ends allowed. OEM      windshield required. Back glass required.

12. Tailgates and rear bumpers  may be removed for safety of person hooking sled. Front OEM bumpers are  required per year model and body style. Bumpers must be same make as truck.

13. Gas tanks cannot be mounted  in front of truck. Vehicle will not have more than one fuel cell, no double tanks. Factory tank must be inside of cab or tank in bed. Battery may be anywhere on truck except inside of cab.

14. A.  Street legal tires  only. No barred or tractor tires allowed. 12.50 x  16.5 street limit  (Must be able to read tire size.) No cut tires. Tire height limit 36  inches. Wheel width limit is 12 inches, tires may be trued. Tractor      tires are allowed on front. Beadlock is not considered as part of the  measurement.

15. Stall converters allowed.

16. Front weights must not extend  beyond forward most part of front bumper, with bumper in stock position.,      can be under hood in engine compartment. Rear weights cannot extend more than (1) foot past rearmost part of truck bed.  Hitch support may be no farther back than hooking point.

17. Forty-two inches minimum from center of rear axle to hitch point. Hitch must be stationary in all directions. Hitch minimum 7/8”, maximum 1 ½” with a minimum 3.75”X 3” hole. No diamond shaped  hitches are permitted. Hitch must  be structured such that a 3” pipe will pass through the opening. Hitch cannot go further forward than back of cab, no part of hitch can exceed  36” to top. Top stops no more than 12” forward from hitching point. No  part of hitch, no farther back then hitching point. Top stop bracket and  bolt not part of hitch

18. Cool cans, electric fuel  pumps and fans are allowed. If more than one fuel pump they must be  feeding the same fuel line.

19. Maximum hitch height is 30”  before, during and after pull.

20. Race fuel only. No alcohol, nitro  methane, nitrous oxide or nitrous propane. No oxidizers. Only fuels      permitted are Renegade, Citgo, VP, Sunoco, and Torco, up to 117 motor octane. No oxygenated fuels are      permitted.

21. No auxiliary box or transfer case allowed.

22. Big rear-ends allowed– no planetary axles. Two speed factory stock allowed. No after market allowed.  

23. Five speed or smaller transmissions allowed. No aftermarket transmissions or cut gears. Original gears may be replaced. Cut gear in this rule is meant to mean a change in  the ratio. Transmission must roll out per factory specifications or can  pull cap. May remove any unused gears.

24. No crower glide clutches. Any pedal clutch allowed.

25. Full size OEM truck bodies  only. Fiberglass hoods are allowed.

26. All general and safety rules  not specified or clarified in class rules will apply.  Fire suits  required

27. Steering wheel and driver seat must remain within 3 inches of original position.

28. No individual brakes.

29. First place truck of class  will have fuel checked.

30. First place truck of class  will have top of carburetor checked only.


Limited Street Diesel Truck Rules

1.  8500lb maximum weight limit. All  trucks are to be weighed with driver.

2. Weight ballast is permitted. May  be in front of the front bumper, no more than 60 inches from the center of  the front axle. All front weights must be visible and securely fastened to  the weight bracket. No weight box’s, brackets style only. Front weight  ballast must be securely fastened to the frame rails, and only have      movable weight on it. No batteries, tanks, cells, or any other equipment  allowed in front of the front bumper. Ballast is also permitted behind the  cab of vehicle. Absolutely no weights inside the cab.

3. Dual rear wheels are allowed, but  must be used on unmodified factory or aftermarket positive offset dually  style wheels. Factory front dual wheel adapters are permitted, but must also be used with a singe factory or aftermarket positive offset dually  style wheel. D.O.T. approved tires only. No cut tires.

4. Factory frame rails only. Must be  from a 1 ton or less truck. Boxing and bracing of the frame are permitted.

5. A maximum wheelbase for the class  will be 176 inches.

6. Suspension: Front: Any factory  style front suspension is allowed. Must use the style of suspension intended for the frame being used. Any aftermarket components can be used.  Leaf spring style front suspensions may use traction/antiwrap bars, and  must have safety catch chain/cable/tether with in 1ft of the mounting  points. No electric power steering. All power steering pumps must be  driven by the engine. Rear: A factory style rear suspension must be used  that is intended for the frame being used. Suspension may be  blocked/linked solid. Traction/Ladder bars are allowed and must have  safety catch chain/cable/tether with in 1ft of the mounting points. All  solid blocks/links and traction bars must be bolted in and easily removed.  Welding of the attachment brackets to the frame and rear axle is  permitted. Rear axle housing may be braced to reduce axle flex. In no way  will the hitch be allowed to connect to the rear axle.

7. Hitch: The hitch must be a  receiver style hitch and mount solid to the frame rails. No draw bar style hitches. Pulling load must pull from and thru the receiver box/hole.  Reinforcements are allowed. All reinforcements must be no farther forward  than the center of the rear axle and no higher than the top side of the  frame rails. No part of the hitch is allowed to connect to the rear axle  or rear suspension. Hook point must be no less than 48 inches from the  center of the rear axle. The hook hole must be at least 3inches wide and 3 ¾inches long. 26” maximum hitch height. All hitch adjusting devices must  be connected to the receiver hitch and/or hitch reinforcements. Rear  suspension blocks/links maybe used to adjust the hitch height. 

8. Engine: Engine must have been and  option in a 1 ton or less truck. Maximum 444 cubic inches. No aftermarket  blocks or cylinder heads. Cummins heads must have the factory casted  intake tunnel on the head. All others must use factory intake manifolds  that bolt to the cylinder heads. Aftermarket intake horns and turbo piping  is allowed No filled blocks. Coolant must flow thru all factory coolant  passages. No deck plates. All other internal modifications are permitted.

9. Fueling: All p-pump engines must  use a 12mm plunger and an automotive governor. Common Rail engines are  limited to 1 stock appearing CP3 injection pump, and factory size housing  (i.e. no CP3.4, grand puba, Franken pump, etc…) Injection conversions are allowed (i.e. p-pump 24v, common rail 7.3 power stroke, etc…) Ford 7.3L  engines are allowed to run dual HPOP. All injection pumps must be mounted  in the factory location for that engine. Any aftermarket supply pump may  be used. Fuel cells are allowed, but must be mounted behind the cab. #2  pump diesel fuel only. No additives. No propane, nitrous, or any other compressed gasses.

10. Turbo: Single turbo only. The  turbo charger is limited to a 2.5-inch inducer turbo and must maintain  this diameter both in front of and behind the MWE groove. T6 exhaust  housings are prohibited. Adaptor plates and pedestals may be used. First  time and random quick checks will be checked with a 2.55 plug. Compressor  wheel is limited to a maximum 99mm exducer. An un-modified, factory style  compressor cover must be use (i.e-No Race covers). The MWE groove must  remain in the factory location and can be no larger than 0.200” at any  point. Bushing of the inducer bore is prohibited. No stepped covers or stepped wheels. Wheel must protrude into the inducer bore and contour back  into the exducer area of the compressor cover. 6.4L Power Stroke engines  may utilize the factory compound turbo configuration in OEM stock form  only (2.6" atmosphere inducer. If at any time the quick plug check is  found illegal, or under protest, the compressor cover can be removed to  measure the compressor wheel dimensions. The puller or crew member will be  responsible for removing the compressor cover.

11. Air to Air intercoolers only. No water injection or water/meth. No spray bars or any other charge air      cooling agents are allowed while the vehicle is on the track.

12. A. Manual transmission: Any manual  transmission from a 1-ton or less truck is allowed. Up to a 3 disk,  conventional style clutch. No Glide style clutches. Aftermarket bell  housings are allowed and must be SFI approved. Any truck using a non SFI approved bell housing must use a SFI approved bell housing blanket. 12-B.  Automatic Transmission: Any automatic transmission from a 1 ton or less  truck is allowed. Must use a torque converter. No clutch setups allowed  with automatic transmissions. All other aftermarket components are  allowed. All Automatic Transmissions must have a SFI approved bell housing  or SFI approved bell housing blanket.

13. Transfer case: Any transfer case from a 1 ton or less truck is allowed. All internal modifications are      allowed.

14. Drive Shafts: After market drive  shafts and U-joint yokes are allowed. All U-joints must be covered by a      minimum 4” wide, 1/8” steel or ¼ ” aluminum shield, 360 degree’s around  the u-joint.

15. Axles: Must be an option in a 1  ton or less truck. All aftermarket components are allowed. Bracing of the   axle housing is allowed to reduce flex.

16. A full interior is mandatory. Must  have full length factory dash, 2 upholstered seats, door panels, and      any/all street equipment. No cutting or gutting inside of the cab or truck  bed.

17. Exhaust must exit rearward of the  cab and exit up or down. Must have two bolts, 3/8” in a cross pattern   within 4ft of the turbo.

18. A kill switch and/or air shut off  is mandatory inside the cab and at the rear of truck near the hitch for      the sled. All Mechanical injected vehicles must have an air shut off.   Electronic injected vehicles Must have either an electric kill switch or air shut off, or both.



2019 8000# Pro Stock Diesel


1. Ballast is permitted. Front hanging weights are allowed, not to exceed 60 inches forward of the center of the front axle. This will be measure from center of front wheels to end of weight assembly. Ballast may be added in the bed of the truck.

2. The body must be the OEM truck body, including the full bed floor. The body must retain full sheet metal, 

aftermarket hoods are permitted. The hood must be closed and securely latched while the vehicle is hooked to the sled.

3. Front brakes only are required.

4. The OEM chassis is mandatory. The engine must be in the OEM location for the body used. The vehicle

must retain the full OEM chassis. Wheel tubs, back-half conversions, tube chassis, etc., are prohibited.

5. All drivers must have a valid state driver’s license and full fire suit. (see General Rules) which includes 

helmet. Seatbelt/restraint system must be worn.

6. An OEM transmission and transfer case are mandatory. They must have been an option on a one-ton or 

smaller pickup.

7. All trucks must have at least six-inch-wide u-joint shields around the rear u-joint constructed of at least 1/4 

inch steel or 3/8 inch aluminum that will safely contain the u-joint and the end of the rear shaft. All shields 

must be securely mounted to the vehicle. Any front shaft u-joint that is visible from the side of the truck must 

be shielded to contain the u-joint and the end of the shaft.

8. The engine is limited to a stock-appearing, Engine and transmissions can be interchanged between Dodge, 

Ford and GM as long as they came in a 1 ton truck or less from the factory. Complete engine must have stock 

appearance except where otherwise noted in these rules. aftermarket intake manifolds are allowed

9. All vehicles must be equipped to direct exhaust upward. Two 3/8 inch diameter bolts must be placed through 

the exhaust pipe in a cross pattern within one inch of each other, within 12” of the turbo.

10. A fire extinguisher system is permitted. It must be securely mounted. A complete OEM firewall is 

mandatory.

11. The complete OEM floor pan is mandatory.

12. Hand throttles permitted. No propane or NO2 permitted or any other oxygen enhancers. Racing fuel cells 

are permitted. 

13. Maximum of one P7100 pump limited to one plunger per cyclinder. The use of multiple high-pressure 

common-rail fuel pumps is legal. Powerstroke engines with a single factory turbo may utilize a second 

HPOP.

14. Hook point must be no closer than 44” of centerline of rear axle, hitch height maximum of 26”, with a 

minimum of a 3.75” X 3.0” opening. Hitch point must be easily accessed. No “trick” type hitches permitted. 

Hitch must be stationary in all directions. Hitch must be frame mounted. Hitch must be mounted centerline 

of rear axle or behind. Hitch must not exceed a maximum of 25 degree angle from pivot point to hook point.

15. Rear axle bolts must be covered by a cap or shield.

16. Safety switch (Raincap or guillotine) must shut-off air to diesel motors. Switch will be securely mounted to 

the back of the vehicle and have a two inch diameter ring to attach to the sled.

17. Hydraulic steering permitted.

18. Suspension, Front: The upper mounting point for strut assemblies must be in the factory location. 

Adjustable caster/camber pillow ball mounts are permitted. The lower control arm may be strengthened 

provided factory-mounting points to chassis are maintained. The lower mounting point for the strut 

assembly may be modified for improved caster or camber. Strut tower braces, lower tie bars, sway bars, and 

limit straps are permitted. Traction bars and devices are permitted.

18b.Lowering or raising the vehicle height with suspension modifications is permitted; must be bolt on only; 

welds permitted for attachment to frame or axle housing. Sway bars, limit straps, and camber kits 

permitted. Traction bars and devices are permitted; Blocked suspension is permitted. No air bags.

19. The tires must be DOT street tires. Cut tires are prohibited. 102” Max outside tire to outside tire.

20. Non-OEM transfer cases are prohibited. The transfer case must have been an option on a one-ton or smaller

pick up truck.

21. Non-OEM transmissions are prohibited. Aftermarket torque converters, valve bodies and internal 

components are permitted. Transmission brakes are prohibited. Any non-OEM floor-mounted automatic 

transmission shifter must be equipped with a spring-loaded positive reverse lockout device to prevent the 

shifter from accidentally being put into reverse gear. A functional neutral safety switch is mandatory. All 

transmission lines must be metallic or high-pressure-type hose. All vehicles using an automatic transmission 

must be equipped with a transmission shield meeting SFI Spec 4.1 and must be labeled accordingly. A 

blanket-type shield is permitted; it must be appropriately labeled as meeting SFI Spec 4.1 and it must extend 

from the rear of the block to the front of transmission main body the bell housing area is to be completely

covered six inch overlap where it is fastened. All non-blanket-type shields must incorporate two (or one, per 

manufacturer’s instructions) 3/4 inch by 1/8 inch straps that bolt to the shield on each side and pass under 

the transmission pan unless the transmission pan is labeled as meeting SFI Spec 4.1. All vehicles using an 

automatic transmission must be equipped with a flex plate meeting SFI Spec 29.1 and be covered by a flex 

plate shield meeting SFI Spec 30.1.

21b.Non-OEM transmissions are prohibited. Aftermarket internal components are permitted. A clutch meeting

minimum SFI Spec 1.1 or 1.2 is mandatory on all vehicles. All manual transmissions must be clutch 

assisted.

Sequential shifters are prohibited. All vehicles equipped with a manual transmission must Have a flywheel 

shield labeled as meeting minimum SFI Spec 6.3 or greater. Applications for which an SFI Spec flywheel

shield is not available may use a properly attached SFI 4.1 or 4.2 blanket that completely covers the 

bellhousing; it must be attached to the block and extend rearward to the transmission with a minimum six-

inch overlap where it is fastened.

22. The vehicle is limited to a 2.6 inducer bore single turbocharger. The compressor wheel must protrude into a 2.6” bore for 1/8”. The inlet will be measured using a 2.605 inch plug the plug must not be able to enter the 

inducer bore. A stock map width enhancement (MWE) groove must be inside neck area where intake cover 

is measured. No MWE groove will be allowed that has a width greater than .200”. All provisions allowing 

air into the wheel other than via the bore and the MWE groove are prohibited. The vehicle driver will be 

responsible for making compressor wheel accessible for tech personal to measure bore and be able to 

inspect compressor wheel.

23. Water injection is prohibited. All system components must be removed from the truck.

24. Intercoolers are allowed. Dumping/draining of intercooler within 100 feet of track is prohibited.

25. Maximum of 1-ton truck chassis only allowed. Dual front wheels are prohibited.
